Who: EquiTherapy is offered to children with special needs (physical, cognitive, developmental) ages 4 to 18.
What: EquiTherapy is a FREE program uniquely addressing both the physical and spiritual growth of children with special needs. The horse is used as a tool to address each child’s specific physical challenges. Instructors include two licensed physical therapy professionals and three certified therapeutic riding instructors.
Where: EquiTherapy takes place at HillTop Equestrian Center (4051 US Route 35E, West Alexandria, OH 45381) in our premier indoor riding arena and in our devotions classroom.
When: EquiTherapy takes place on Monday evenings from 5:00-7:00pm. Children attend a one hour session consisting of 30 minutes of ride time on the horse with our instructors and 30 minutes of Bible devotions time with our pastoral staff. EquiTherapy offers 2-3 sessions per year, each session lasting 8-10 weeks in duration, depending on scheduling.
Why: EquiTherapy is offered to enhance physical development and encourage children in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
How: Please contact Amy Day to discuss whether your child is appropriate for EquiTherapy and for placement on our waiting list.
